Nowadays in every day life, people are attacked by advertisements all the time. Society is full of advertisements, that sometimes are even hard to tell apart from the real life. As an illustration can be sponsored articles in newspapers or magazines, that only purpose is to make us buy or believe in something that was covered in the article.
Advertisements start to invade our lives to such an extend that we change it under the pressure. For example, to best of my knowledge, an average EU citizen watches 50-60 commercials a day. So instead watching film on TV, rents it. Commercials are violent, immoral, aggressive so should they be banned?
As far as I am concerned, I think that even though we might be tired of them around all the time, we are somehow addicted to it.
Firstly advertising is essential part of the free market. Every company has a right to promote their products, their logo or services.
Secondly, it is the only way of the communications between potential customers and the market. How would we know about product without it being advertised.
Equally important is the fact that advertising is also one of the factors of gaining market advantages by firms. Poorly advertised company is not going to last long on the market.
To sum up, I think it is not a good idea to ban advertising.
